Children Of Bodom TV part 3 is out!

This is one of my favorites bands, they kick-ass and they're freaking hilarious! Stop the music for a while an check the new video above.

And now...Pedro recommends:

HOT TUB TIME MACHINE (the movie)!

I checked it, and believe me, this won't disappoint ya. This is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. Basically, there is a group of 4 friends (actually they're 3, and the other it's just a nephew) and they go back to the place where they used to be in Highschool, during the 80's. When they get there, they realize the place is a mess, it stinks, it isn't so much fun anymore. However they enter the room, which used to be they're  room and they find a hot tub (a jacuzzi, whatever). They get in it and stay all night drinking and partying, but, for some reason, when they wake up, they notice that something's wrong...Well, at least weird. Everyone is wearing old fashioned clothes, there's something wrong with the music and tv also. One of 'em finally grabs a poster he found on their room, in which said "Winterfest of '86". and that's when they all realized they went suddenly back in time, to the 80's!

Then, you know...it's obvious, they try to comeback to 2010 but they'll have to do a lotta things. (Whatever it takes!). Superb cast - including John Cusack and Rob Corddry.
Check it out!

In honor of...

Today I felt like paying tribute to some awesome guys who left this world way too soon.

Clifford Lee Burton,

who died on a bus crash, while touring with Metallica, on 27 September, 1986. He definitely was a vital element within the band, and along with Kirk, James and Lars, he changed the music world forever.  I wasn't lucky enough to live with him in Earth, but I can say I am lucky as well for not being alive yet when this horrible thing happened. Cliff, thank you for your beautiful music.

Dimebag Abbott Darrell,

who had, maybe, the most tragic death. In case you don't know yet, he died on stage, during Pantera's show, with a shot, from a fan (what a freakin' asshole) with mental disorders, in Ohio, 8 December, 2004. With only 38 years of life, he left us. He rocked like no one ever did or will do. Dime, brother, you are NOT forgotten.
Ronnie James Dio,

who was the latest big loss to the world and any "heavy" music fan (I think he doesn't even need presentation). He died pretty recently (May 16 - 2010), after a battle with stomach cancer, at the age of 67. He was the first guy who passed away when i really liked him. I knew him already, loved his music. When I heard the news through some of my friends I was numb, because he was such a great icon in the rock/metal world, he belonged to one of the most important and legendary bands in our history. Needless to say, you'll be remembered forever, this world will always be a Heaven & Hell, as you would say: "-The world is full of kings and queens, who blind your eyes and steal your dreams". And, for the record, this was the guy who created the "devil horns" that you all know well - \m/. Thanks for sharing your gift with us and changing so many lives. Dio, we love you.

Friends...friends...friends!

Today I realized something: I was given a gift. The gift of being with great people, almost everyday, almost everytime. Whether they support you, cheer you up, argue with you, talk with you, laugh with you, play guitar with you, f 'ckin sing with you or just being themselves. This may sound pathetic, lame or whatever, but the truth is, I really find this an important thing to be said.

For the last 2 and a half years my life has been changing, in a better and constructive way. I've become more conscious, more wise, more dedicated, more of a fighter and I've learned how to deal with a lot of issues (family, for example) and look at them from a different point of view. All of this I own to all this great guys, to all they did to me, and vice-versa.

I find myself a lucky dude, of course not in every single way, but at least on friends, I can't complain at all. Most of them have shown me what life really is, what is worth to fight for and what doesn't matter. I am aware that some of "the moments" will never be repeated again, therefore:

Enjoy life,
A big thanks,
Pedro Aires

A first note.

Well, welcome to my blog, my little space where I'm going to post some of my tastes, daily experiences or whatever pops into my head that I find relevant to share with you guys.

So, let me just introduce myself: I'm a teenager, finishing highschool, on its way to college (I hope so), living surrounded by art, good friends, awesome music and everything else that is good, so, I guess we can say I was lucky enough to be as good as I am right now. I'm very passionate, for a lot of things but mainly music (playing/listening), my work (not that it is good..It's just...Mine) and I'm madly addicted to my friends.
Hope you enjoy the blog, I'll try to do my best as well.

Rock on,
Pedro Aires
